No Trash Can Beside the Dryer? Put a Lint Bin on the Machine

Cleaning the lint screen takes a few seconds. Finding somewhere to put the handful of lint afterward can be less straightforward.

Without a trash can nearby, the lint often lands on top of the dryer. Used dryer sheets join it. A few loads later, that temporary little pile has apparently been given permanent residence.

A magnetic lint bin gives that waste a place to go without putting another container on the floor.

The Side of the Dryer Is Usually Doing Nothing

The bin measures 7.5 inches wide, 10.4 inches high, and 3.5 inches deep. Its magnetic back lets it hang directly on a suitable metal surface of the washer or dryer.

That puts the bin close to where the lint comes out in the first place.

The lid keeps the contents covered, while the included brush can pick up loose lint around the lint-trap opening.

The magnet still needs a sensible place to go. A dryer pushed tightly against a wall or another appliance may not have enough clear space on the side. The front can work on some machines, provided the bin does not block the door or controls.

If there is no suitable magnetic spot, the bin also has keyhole hangers and adhesive hooks for mounting it on a wall.

A Lint Bin Does Not Clean the Dryer

The bin solves the small mess created when you empty the lint screen. It does not remove lint that gets past the screen or collects elsewhere in the dryer and vent system.

Those are different jobs.

If lint is accumulating beyond the parts you normally clean after a load, where dryer lint builds up and how to clean it needs separate attention.

For the lint already in your hand, the problem is simpler. If there is a clear patch of metal beside the dryer, the trash can does not need its own patch of floor.
