Fogless Shower Mirror for Shaving Without Wiping Away Steam

Shaving in the shower works fine until the mirror fogs. You wipe a clear patch with your hand, start shaving, and before long the face looking back at you has disappeared again.

A fogless shower mirror with a warm-water chamber avoids that repeated wiping in a simple way. Fill the chamber with warm shower water before shaving, and the water warms the mirror so condensation is less likely to form on the surface.

There is a trade-off. You have to fill the chamber each time you use it. But that is one job at the beginning rather than repeatedly clearing the glass while you shave.

Filling It Should Not Be the Difficult Part

The chamber is removable, so you can take it out, fill it with warm water, and put it back. That is much less awkward than trying to fill something while it is attached to the shower wall.

The mirror also tilts. A fixed mirror can be perfectly clear and still make you lean toward the wall to see properly. Adjusting the angle brings the reflection to you instead.

If you are spending more time shaving in the shower, what is happening underfoot matters too. A bath mat that stays put in the shower deals with a slippery floor without changing how you use the mirror.

Fog-Free Does Not Mean Water-Free

Shower spray can still leave droplets on a mirror that is not fogging. Warming the glass helps with condensation; it does not keep the mirror dry.

That is where the squeegee comes in. It clears actual water from the surface instead of repeatedly clearing fog.

Placement helps as well. Keep the mirror out of the direct spray and there should be less water to clear while still keeping it close enough for shaving.

The small job happens before you start: fill the chamber and set the angle. After that, the mirror can stay useful for the part of the shower when you actually need to see it.
