A laundry room corner with a mop, broom, and other cleaning tools leaning messily against the wall. A damp mop head leaves a visible puddle on the tile floor.

Dripping mops and soggy broom closets aren’t rare — they’re just rarely solved.

Most people shove their cleaning tools into a corner, close the door, and hope for the best. But the puddles, the warped trim, the musty smell? They keep coming back.

Part of the problem is that floors and closets aren’t made for drying. A damp mop head needs air around it, not a dark corner or a hook where it’s still touching the ground. And a broom that slides down the wall doesn’t help much either.

Wall-mounted racks fix the setup. One style uses stainless steel and rubber-lined grips to hold everything firmly in place — up to 30 lbs with screws, or 8 lbs with adhesive. It includes extra hooks for things like gloves, dusters, or cleaning cloths, and it works just as well in a garage as it does in a laundry room.

Another version is made of heavy-duty plastic, with spring-loaded slots that grab broom handles easily. The folding hooks stay out of the way when not in use, and the whole thing supports up to 35 lbs. It installs in minutes and fits well even in narrow closets or utility nooks.

Both keep your tools dry and your floors clean — no more dripping mess in the corner. And both tend to stay up once installed. Most people don’t send them back.
