If your garage is a tight fit, it doesn’t take much for a car door to bump the wall — even gently. Over time, it leaves scuff marks, chips the drywall, or worse. And if you’ve got kids in the backseat? Good luck keeping things unscathed.

But this problem is easy to fix — you just need a padded strip on the wall where the door opens. No tools, no drilling, just stick it on.

One option is a set of four thick foam pads that cushion the door with 1.2 inches of high-density EVA. Each one is about the size of a clipboard and can absorb up to 330 lb of impact, way more than the average door slam.

The surface is textured to resist scratches and wipes clean easily.

They’re odorless, recyclable, and even certified non-toxic. If your garage wall has curves or corners, the foam bends around those too. And when it’s time to remove them? The fiberglass mesh on the back lets you peel them off cleanly without tearing or leaving glue behind.

If you want something longer, there’s a full-length strip version that runs nearly 80 inches. It covers both front and rear door zones in one go, and you can trim it down if needed. It’s thinner (about ¼ inch), but still absorbs the same level of impact.

This one also sticks to almost any surface — concrete, plaster, wood, or metal — and doesn’t leave a mess if you ever take it down. It even works in places like warehouses, stairways, or kids’ playrooms where wall bumps are common.

Both versions solve the same problem in different ways. And both save your wall — and your car — from small accidents that turn into big annoyances.
