A red dog leash hangs from a white doorknob in a small entryway. A wooden bench nearby holds a blue dog collar, a set of keys, and a beige tote bag.

Some things always seem to disappear right when you need them — like the dog leash, especially when you’re running late or your dog’s already jumping at the door.

Tossing it on the floor or draping it over the doorknob works for a while, until the treats, waste bags, and keys start piling up too.

One way to organize dog gear near the entry is to mount a small wall organizer near the door. It comes with a couple of deep cubbies, a rod, and a few hooks, so there’s room for the leash, training treats, toys, and the spare house key.

The black finish has a slight shine to it, so it looks a little more polished than most utility hooks. You can stick it on smooth walls with adhesive or screw it in for a sturdier hold, and it’s tough enough to handle a decent amount of weight without flexing. If your entry’s already packed, it works just as well in a hallway or garage.

If you don’t need storage bins or extra pieces, there’s also a flat hook shaped like a dog that takes up almost no space. It holds a leash, collar, and a few keys — enough for daily use — and installs with two small screws.

The edges are smooth, so nothing snags, and it holds surprisingly well for something that size. You can mount it indoors, outdoors, or even right on the dog’s crate if that’s where everything tends to land.

Just one of these by the door makes the daily scramble way less chaotic.
